oi... very nice composition indeed. colors... well actually the symmetry is bothersome. i would like this piece better if there was only one side. draw a line straight down through ichigo's face. that is where the cutoff should have been. and as is the vector is too detailed for the rest of the forms you chose to use. especially when looking at it closer. the colors are too bright... there is a decent contrast happening here. but you could plug anything in place of the characters and you would get the same feel. they are not tied to the piece. but then again... the brightness of the colors on the characters does keep the piece from being too dull and stuck on itself. flatter, maybe more experimental color layout on the characters would have worked better. and one character. or at least... not an entire view of all the charaters. ichigo's head could be going of the page. this is a nice piece. just not something that deserves absolute acclaim. good work. though.

well, probably one of my favorites that you have done. i enjoy very much the line are quality of this image and the absence of color. i am incredibly happy with this one. however, the arms are a bit weird. i am not sure the gesture that is happening here. the posture. it appears as thought one arm is longer than the other, and i have a feeling that if i were there, she would have her right shoulder towards me and her left away. meaning, the arm that is not near her face would be going away from me, and foreshorten off in perspective. none the less...i do enjoy this. a fav.

f

lovely as usual. and yes. because you can.

f

how i do miss your yoshitaka scans. and yet here are some more to download. Your generousity is wondrous beyond most things. But i do have some nasty business to attend to for i have found myself in a situation in which i must commit a rudeness. cheers.

f

Nice work. you should consider colouring. A vector of this would look nice as well. cheers.

f

definitely a great piece. and yes, i agree with dream. best of contest, thus so far as round two entries haven't been completed and submitted. I really am glad to see you grow as an artist, which i have not of late. this is a great piece with great colors and pulled off the theme perfectly and i find it pleasant to look at. keep doing this. but push your style further. cheers. great job. sorry i can't offer any criticism.

f

i really do like the image. the colors and simplicity of it strike me the strongest. but as sharingan said it could be tweaked tighter so it was cleaner. but really great job none-the less. I'm so glad you decided finally to do something from you entirely. thanks alot for sharing. major props to you and cheers.

but then again, forget the roughness. it looks fine. if your own aesthetic is smooth and more refined then yes it could use some work to get that, but i find it fine the way it is. the roughness oes not detract from the piece at all.

the perspective is off a little with the arms. They are too short as well. Even though you didn't use foreshortening the image isn't too flat. but studying up on how limbs and what not grow in size and decrease in size respectively to their distance from the viewer. lovely.

f

nice mesh...even though i don't like meshing. really nice mesh. would like to see the original. cheers.

f

i usually don't like gradients, but you did a good job her with the illusion of depth. however i don't feel it works with the other three as mugen appears twice within and the colors are overpowering when compared to the other three. Since you also chose to ad depth to this it breaks that continuity further. I only write this because in the description of all you write _of_ which implies a triptych. Besides that little critique great vectoring work and color choices all around. The style is a tad overdone, but in this case overdone in a good manner. Nice job. Cheers.

f

really lovely vector composition. i absolutely love the colors used here. i dig the text with depth, but the text along the arm is too different from the other style and too recognizable for me to dig it. plus i don't find the placement of it to be very solid. the other text yes, that text no. from afar it looked like some pink abstract line thing which i liked, but not working.

secondly the umbrellas are a bit over abundant. too much repetition there, i like umbrellas as a motif, but again they seem to be a weak part of this piece. the colors used on them again are lovely, and the vector is really nice.

it looks really cool, as in weather, with a slight breeze and has a wondrous sound to it. but those two things fight with that. colors, colors, colors. great. with the faded pattern in the back and the birds flying by as solid silhouttes. enjoyed this piece very much. cheers and major props.

f

very sexy indeed. nice job on your painting. cheers.

f

lovely reinterpretation of the original, even though it isn't too far from the original. not a fan of the texturing as it is just a patterned effect. cheers.

f

you puled off the art nouveau rather well. but i do feel that if it was vectored it would have been flawless. great wall none the less. cheers.

f

lovely lovely. great use of flat colors that work well with each other. the folds and blanket look fine, and photo juxtaposed over the scene might be a tad cliche, but it is done well in this image. cheers, and alot better than my submission.

f

the splash works incredibly well and i like the limited amount of colours. great style as usual. cheers.

f

really lovely sketch, and i like the style you've decided to try out. really impressive coloring and composition. definitely a nice piece of art. cheers.

watercolours, coloured pencils, pen & pencil?

f

lovely indeed. great character design and motion. something about this is just really nice. i do feel that the yellow and orange are a bit too much, i enjoy this much. cheers.

f

i really like the colours and the melancholy feel of the wall. very simple indeed. but the wind looks a bit like hair, but i see wind, but sometimes hair, mostly wind though. i also would have liked to see more depth to this, maybe some wind effects coming in front of all and around him. nice execution none the less. cheers. +fav.

f

finally something that deserves to be up on the highlighted art section, and really deserves it. great colors, and composition, crisp vectore, and lovely simple rehashed style. cheers and props.

f

avant garde indeed.

f

....are you still here? i really like digimon, and i've been meaning to watch it all, but now i'm confused...is what digimon are you talking about? is the japanese version different from the american releases? ah man...i'm so confused. also, did you draw this or what?

f

nice and simple. probably one of the funniest non-funny walls i've seen. i don't mind the simple clouding, and it isn't too much. i do feel there could be a little more to it, but it is fine just the same. king of new york eh? great acronym.

au revoir.

f

wonderful use of color and simple composition. i'm not sure if the bolts are necessary in this, but i like them, they only seem a little alone. the perspective is great and the whole thing comes together rather nicely. i just wish people would understand that cell-shading is exclusive to 3-dimensional modeling. ech. cheers.

f

would have been great, but was ruined with the ipod and the violence in the back. it doesn't seem to fit. i still dig it though. cheers.
