stunted... i'm teaching now and most of my energies are to that. and since it is
an introductory course, the projects are dull to teach, dull to try and inspire
students, dull.
well as an artist i feel that i should diversify my abilities. so yes, it is to
refine my abilities as i am highly interested in sculpture and i have not done
enough of it. i rely to much on digital art and have been taking classes to get
the most basics into my mind. i've gone though letterpress, lithography,
intaglio printing, and will be doing children's book design. i really want to
screenprint. it is partly for school as i have earned one of my professors most
outlandishly and withstanding faith and respect. so much so he has more
confidence in my abilities than those who are one or two years ahead of me. it
is, however, a project that i am doing on my own to prove to myself that i am an
artist, and a reliable one. i also want to have them done in time for my gallery
next year. thirdly....just for fun as always.
i got into it through the mentioned professor and just touring art shops in
portland. oregon. also i've actually been collecting slowly. check out
myplasticheart.com to see a collection of ones on sale. it is quite the new
scene, and it is sort of underground but it is also gaining momentum. there are,
of course, various other sties, and magazines. but yeah. cool. cheers...i should

this summer i'll be designing my line of toys. under the title of booyahmitron
toys. whether or not i actually am able to sell them is, of course like always,
iffy. really all i'll be doing is throwing down some sketches, working on my
sculpting, and painting. once i get a sculpt that i find is acceptable for a
mold i'll sculpt it out of wax i'll make a rubber mold of the wax. then if the
funds are with me, i'll cast it in plastic, or vinyl, which the latter will
never happen. i might be able to afford the liquid plastic though...you
interested?
the good ol' days indeed...bfa year next year, and then off to my mfa...i'm
poor, and i'm going to make myself even more so, but hey, what better life than
that of an artist? none that i can think of; other than a travelling monk. toy
design this summer. yay!
i haven't gone to my russian class in three weeks....and as such i've been at
the library for the past three days straight, with appropriate breaks for tummy
goodies and what not. ha!
....i thought i did give some idea of a direction....how about a singular
influence where one is required to derive their theme/idea from a specific
influence. they don't have to respond directly to it, but interpret it into
their own themed piece. Also the participant should explain what the theme is
and have that show through the piece that they create.
like i drew three images of a character i have created in environments which
included the colors, icons, and feel of old 8-bit and 16 bit video games. along
with such imagery the character was involved in alot of nothing. doing nothing.
my theme was childhood obsession and obsessions. of course the rest of the
pieces that went with the drawings helped to bring that out...but besides the
point...think artgeek, think.
....how about a really loose competition....one based on individual ability to
come up with their own theme. from that them draw a triptych or a series of
three drawings that don't necessarily relate in the way a triptych does, but do
carry a theme. cheers.

i didn't even know it was loaded ok. i thought it best, that even though it
wasn't mine, that my friends roomates stopped playing around with it before
someone got shot....ha....so i took it away from them and just held onto it,
nozzle down, and the one of the other roomates came up and patted me on the
back, and i'm quick to scare and i fubbled and accidently pulled the trigger
back in my fright and shot my foot. with a holy F#$@ s#$% that hurt, my friends
freeked out, oh shit jefe you okay! and the cursing and the shit, shit, shit.
you shot your foot. call the ambulance and all that. and since i'm terrified of
blood i decided to faint when i saw it. gross, gross, gross and a terrible limp.

i don't drink alcoholic beverages, and i have let go of that other habit.

poetry class....unfortunate prerquisite for an upper division writing course.
well school has started again. senior year and i haven't finished up my gen eds
and i need to focus on writing my musical and childrens book. also getting into
the bfa program. so i shan't be posting much at all. if my memory doesn't fail
me i'll submit something new. but for the time being i shall be solely writing
and writing. i won't post any of my illustrations if i get that far this year.

up if my roomate turned in her consigner sheet. Oh well eh? I'll figure
